Welcome to Patchwork Group Therapy
Are you in your mid-20s to mid-30s and feeling like life is “fine on paper,” but something still feels off? You’re not alone. The space between achievement and fulfilment can be disorienting — especially when cultural, family, and internal expectations feel tangled. Patchwork Group Therapy offers a supportive and affirming space, specifically for Asian-identifying individuals, to explore identity, belonging, and meaning.
🌿 Now Registering: August–September 2025 Cohort
Facilitated by Jenn Truong, RP (Qualifying), this group supports Asian-identifying adults in exploring identity, community, and healing in a culturally grounded virtual space.
🧵 What Is Patchwork Group Therapy?
Patchwork is an 8-week virtual therapy group for Asian-identifying adults who want to connect more deeply with themselves and others. Together, we create a space to talk openly about identity, belonging, and how to show up authentically — especially when those things feel complicated or constrained.
This is a space for self-exploration through conversation and connection, not a treatment group. It is not appropriate for individuals experiencing active suicidality, psychosis, or acute mental health distress.

📖 Based on Permission to Come Home by Jenny Wang, PhD
This group draws inspiration and structure from Permission to Come Home: Reclaiming Mental Health as Asian Americans. Participants are asked to secure a copy of the book as soon as possible and begin reading the first few chapters before the group starts.
Books are available at local bookstores, Chapters/Indigo, Amazon, Kobo, and Audible. Public libraries may also carry paperback and audiobook versions.
🧠 Why Group Therapy?
Group therapy helps you connect — to yourself and others. Through shared reflection, courageous conversations, and gentle challenges, group members often find the support they didn’t know they needed. It’s a reminder that you don’t have to navigate your healing alone.
